Grow Financial supported AirFest, a free showcase of extreme aviation capabilities at MacDill Air Force Base on May 12-13, 2018. The entire Tampa Bay community had the opportunity to visit the base to enjoy the air show, take tours of various aircrafts on display and meet with local organizations who support the event and the military.

“Since we started on the MacDill Air Force Base, our connection to the military has always been strong,” Jared Barr, Grow’s VP of Marketing, said. “We still sponsor events like American Heroes Day at the Strawberry Festival and the AirFest to show our support for the men and women who sacrifice so much for our country.”

AirFest guests experienced military aircraft displays, aerial demonstrations by military and civilian performers, and had the opportunity to learn more about the military personnel and equipment MacDill Air Force Base uses to carry out missions.

Performances at this year’s AirFest event included the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the F-22 demo team and the A-10 demo team. The U.S. Navy Leap Frogs and USSOCOM Para-Commandos also made jumps during the show. Other aircrafts like the B-52, MQ-9, Army HH-60 and P-8A Poseidon were among the collection on display.

Grow is proud to support an event that allows members of the community to be more connected to the military operations happening on the base.

“We want our members to know we are here to serve their banking needs in our stores but also to support the causes they care about in the community,” Barr said.
