For the fourth consecutive year, Grow Financial is honored to sponsor the MLK Scholarship Program, a transformative initiative by the Dr. Martin Luther King Parade Foundation, Inc. Each year, this program awards college scholarships to exceptional Hillsborough County students who have demonstrated academic excellence and a deep commitment to community service.

MLK Parade Gala: Strength to Love

Scholarship recipients and outstanding community leaders received recognition at the 35th Annual MLK Parade Black Tie Gala on January 9, 2025. This year’s theme, Strength to Love, highlighted Dr. King’s message of courage, compassion and the power of unity in creating meaningful change. This inspiring event celebrated those who have made a significant positive impact on their communities through acts of service.

MLK Scholarship Program

The Grow Diversity Committee leads the way in championing our involvement in the MLK Scholarship and similar initiatives. This group of team members strives to promote and celebrate the unique differences of all people to grow our understanding, respect and appreciation for the basic human experience we all share.

Dana Case, Deposit Servicing Specialist II, attended the gala along with several other Diversity Committee members. She shared, “As we honor Dr. King’s legacy, we’re reminded that education and diversity are powerful tools for building bridges. The MLK Scholarship Program embodies this mission by opening doors of opportunity for young people and encouraging them to give back to their communities.”
