Grow Financial Joins Paint the Town & Kicks Off 2025 Year of Service

At Grow Financial, we believe in serving people, not profit. Our commitment to community service is at the heart of our mission and culture, and we’re so excited for another year dedicated to making a positive impact.

UACDC Paint the Town Event

We were thrilled to kick off 2025 with the Paint the Town event on January 18. This annual event, organized by the University Area Community Development Corporation, Inc. (UACDC), focuses on the redevelopment and sustainability of at-risk areas surrounding the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida (USF).

Grow Financial donated $250,000 to the UACDC to assist with hurricane recovery efforts, and the funds were used, in part, to purchase e-bikes. Our team members spent the day assembling the e-bikes to provide affordable transportation to residents. In addition, volunteers worked on a wide variety of beautification projects to demonstrate care for community members in the USF area.

Growing the Greater Good

In 2024, our team members demonstrated their dedication to community service by logging over 1,200 paid volunteer days and more than 8,000 hours of volunteering in the community. This remarkable effort highlights our organization’s strong culture of volunteerism and our commitment to giving back.

Chantel Negron, AVP of Community Development shared, “As we kick off our 70th year as a credit union dedicated to serving people and not profit, we are especially mindful of our neighbors and friends in marginalized communities who remain significantly impacted by hurricanes Milton and Helene. We are proud to partner with the UACDC to both understand and begin to help meet their needs.”
