Grow Financial Foundation Gives Back During the Season of Giving
The mission of the Grow Financial Foundation is to encourage and support the health and wellness of individuals and organizations within the communities the credit union serves through financial, educational, social, physical and mental health strategies. In a year like 2020 that has seen food insecurity and joblessness become even more prevalent, they knew they needed to step up and help with one more donation drive this year. Learn more about how they’re serving our communities during the season of giving.
According to Feeding America, more than 80 percent, or 4 in 5, food banks are serving more people now than they did a year ago, so it was important that they made as big an impact as possible, and in both our Tampa Bay and South Carolina communities.
On a Mission to Give
Lisa Wolf, VP of Compliance at Grow, suggested Metropolitan Ministries, Inc., a local organization she is involved with through her participation in LAMPlighters, another 501(c)(3) comprised of Tampa Bay area women, to the Grow Financial Foundation as an organization that could use their help. So, they got a list of the most-needed items from Metropolitan Ministries as well as Lowcountry C.A.R.E.S. Ministries and Harvest Hope in South Carolina and sponsored a food and hygiene products drive to support the efforts of these three organizations.
“The need has been great, but our community is greater. With the help of the community, we have been able to meet these unprecedented challenges as they’ve come. The Grow Financial Foundation came through in a huge way in time for our holiday distribution … to the tune of a half-ton of food and 500 hygiene items,” shared Patrick Davis, Sr. Manager of Community Relations for Metropolitan Ministries.
It was apparent that the generosity of our members and team members knows no bounds as they once again gave back to our communities in a great way during the season of giving. Wolf summed up the spirit of giving so perfectly, “To me, giving back to the community means that I made a difference in someone’s life. Giving back is a great way to know your community and its citizens.”

Your personal checks include both our routing number and your account number, as shown on the Grow check example below.
Don’t have a Grow check? No worries.
