Grow Sponsors 2022 MacDill Chief’s Group Golf Tournament
If you know about our history, you may remember that our credit union was founded on MacDill Air Force Base in 1955 to serve the military and civilian personnel stationed there. We’re honored to maintain our ties to MacDill AFB today through our store located on the base and sponsorship of a few different events that benefit the men and women who serve there. On April 8, several team members from Grow brought their A-game to the MacDill Chief’s Group Golf Tournament, a fundraising event that we had the opportunity to sponsor for the eleventh year.
About the MacDill Chief’s Group Golf Tournament
More than just a fun day on the green, the event supports an incredibly worthy cause. All proceeds of the event directly benefit the MacDill Chief’s Group, which aims to improve morale and promote the general welfare of all enlisted members assigned to or visiting MacDill AFB. Donations provide financial support, leadership and mentorship through several annual events and a quarterly scholarship. Martin Koscso, Commercial Sales Manager and member of Grow’s golf team, said, “The Chief’s Group provides needed support to the families of our military, and I consider it an honor to participate and also personally donate to this great cause.” Learn more about the MacDill Chief’s Group.
Teresa Foss-Long, Chairman of the MacDill Chief’s Group Golf Tournament, said, “We’re extremely grateful for the enduring partnership with Grow Financial. Their generosity and commitment to Team MacDill and to the young Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians and Coast Guardsmen manning the base is a testament to Grow’s desire to partner with and enable those who sacrifice so much for the greater good. The Chief’s Group applauds Grow Financial’s steadfast support to such a worthy endeavor, and we look forward to growing the partnership in the years to come.”
We were proud to sponsor the MacDill Chief’s Group Golf Tournament again this year and look forward to continued opportunities to support the men and women of MacDill Air Force Base.
