Grow Financial Foundation Supports Communities in Challenging Times
We’re in an unprecedented time and that means going above and beyond in unprecedented ways. It’s no different for the Grow Financial Foundation. You may know the Grow Financial Foundation and its mission: to encourage and support the health and wellness of individuals and organizations within the communities the credit union serves through financial, educational, social, physical and mental health strategies. And accomplishing that mission doesn’t stop for a pandemic.
In these days of health crisis, it’s time to focus on the physical and mental health pillars of support for our communities in Florida and South Carolina. The Grow Financial Foundation is proud to be able to give back through meal and snack donations—working with Grow business members when possible—to frontline workers and others in need via local food banks.
These little acts of kindness can do wonders for both the givers and receivers in challenging times, as you can see by the thank you received from the CVICU staff at Northside Hospital: “Thank you ever so much for thinking of us and sending our staff pizza on Monday, April 27th. It was a complete surprise and very much appreciated.”
While many of us are able to work from home and generally avoid going out during these shelter-in-place days, healthcare professionals and others on the frontlines of the pandemic who can’t simply stay home deserve to be recognized for the heroes that they are.
“Being a part of this project was unbelievable. It was very rewarding knowing that the food orders we made were helping keep the businesses going and then dropping it off at the hospitals where it was so appreciated. It made me happy to see the smiles on everyone’s faces and to know we were making a difference in our community, even in this challenging time.” Michelle Schilleman, Market Manager and the Treasurer of the Grow Financial Foundation, said.
The Grow Financial Foundation didn’t stop there. In light of the impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on the economy and as unemployment rates continue to increase, they recognize that many are not as fortunate and are facing the incredibly difficult position of having reduced income during this period.
It was important to the Grow Financial Foundation that they help this part of our community as well. They donated to several local organizations including groceries to the Manatee Memorial Hospital Food Bank and funds to the Harvest Hope Food Bank and Feed the Fight Charleston in South Carolina.
It’s challenging times like these when the goal of the Grow Financial Foundation really rings true: kindness is contagious.

How to Find Your Routing & Account Numbers
When you make a payment online, by phone or on a mobile device, you may be asked for our routing number and your checking account number. Credit unions and banks use these numbers to identify accounts and make sure money gets where it’s supposed to be. You’ll also need to provide your routing and checking account numbers for:
- Direct deposits
- Electronic checks
- Military allotments
- Wire transfers
Where to Find Your Routing & Checking Account Numbers
Your personal checks include both our routing number and your account number, as shown on the Grow check example below.
Don’t have a Grow check? No worries.
Visit any Grow store and ask for a Direct Deposit Form. It lists both your routing number and checking account number.
